We’re excited to introduce a new addition to the plugin: Triangular Springers.
This new springer typology resolves the geometric condition that occurs when the first voussoir of a vault meets the support at an angle. In most vaults, the lowest voussoir does not sit flat on the springing plane, leaving a triangular gap between its underside and the horizontal support. The triangular springer fills this space, providing a stable base that matches the vault’s geometry and maintains continuity with the voussoir layout.
The component automatically generates triangular springer blocks adapted to the thrust surface and subdivision logic, ensuring a clean transition between the supporting structure and the first course of voussoirs. It integrates seamlessly with the existing vault generation and division tools, remaining fully compatible with current workflows while extending the range of vault geometries the plugin can handle.
Available now in the latest release of the plugin.
