The irregular vault was parametrically modelled in Grasshopper starting from a planar quadrilateral base curve, which was subdivided into segments to generate two transversal arcs and two support lines. A loft produced the initial surface, which was divided into voussoirs using u and v subdivisions, and planarized to define the intrados, extrados, and springers.

Parametric modeling of a barrel vault enables precise control over geometric and constructive variables through real-time inputs. The vault is generated by segmenting an arc profile into voussoirs, which are extruded and arrayed along a longitudinal axis. This approach facilitates applications in digital fabrication and structural analysis.
